Color me happy

I celebrated my birthday last February 24..
Friends surprised me with a bouquet and had a wonderful time.

So, with all the days happenings into the late, LATE evening I had a few things to say. When my birthday comes round it is a big deal, MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY, and of course I want to make it all about me. But, the important thing about celebrating a birthday is to give thanks to being alive, and having a blessed life with caring friends and a loving family.

Tuwang-tuwa naman ako sa bubbles :)

So, to end my first birthday blog thanks to everyone I know and look forward to meeting those I don't know yet!

This is L-O-V-E

Valentine’s day is already here guys!  I wonder what’s gonna happen?
Can someone please just satisfy this crazy need of mine!
I definitely wouldn't mind getting Anygma for  a date.

My heart’s all giddy!

PS. I am so excited right now!
Few more days and I'll be celebrating my birthday and honestly I don't know what to do and where to celebrate.
These two pictures are pretty accurate when it comes to the theme  I envision for the party. A lavish underwater theme party followed by a stylish cocktail party. With balloons, hot guys, laughter, opulent meals, photo booth and late night dancing. My idea is divine but I wish I had more time to plan the party. :(

PSS. If you don't have any plans tomorrow, why not visit UP-D for Sociology Congress of 2011.

What for?

our current uniform

 proposed uniform

There is a swelling debate over the uniform reform.

I have to admit when I saw the picture I didn't like the look of the proposed uniform. I don't agree with this. The idea is tacky, and I'd like to know why it was even considered. Are you dead serious?? ABSC What the hell are you thinking
Uniform reform it is a cheap education reform. They would only cause problems and complaints.

The patches is a good idea but the overall look? Oh,Godhoneyno! They look too much harry potter/san beda/cthm look.

"Mukha kasi pang high school ung uniform." Fck! How ridiculous your argument is.
Wala namang issue sa uniform reform kaso wala naman pala kayong masusuggest na magandang design pawelga-welga pa kayo. Susuportahan ko lang ito kung may magaganda kayong options.

Point being, school uniforms DO NOT increase test scores or student aptitude on tests, arithmetic, grammar, etc., etc.
Just because you start wearing a blue vest (The vest has to go) and shorter skirt doesn't boost your IQ by a certain percentage. Why are you wasting money and time for the sake of change?
The proposed uniform seemingly serve no purpose other than appearance alone.

immersion lovin'

I would love to post a happy lengthy entry here today.. :)

Ako bilang isang estudyante ng sosyolohiyawe  study groups of people. These groups range from families and tribes to entire communities and even whole  nations. Sociologists analyze ethnic and religious groups and political and business organizations. They also focus on the behavior of group members and on the ways that groups interact with one another. They often trace the origin and development of groups. Sociologists study specific groups with the ultimate goal of establishing general laws and theories that can explain human social behavior.
Sociology is a very broad field. Being a Social Scientist (in the process), an integral part of our curriculum is immersion. Yes, immersion is a must to fulfill graduation requirements.
We had another immersion a few days ago and it was in Bicol, Legazpi to be exact.
Our flight is at 1:45 pm.
The people- are generally laid back.
The place – We stayed at Brgy. Maslog
The landscape- It’s probably the one thing that I can appreciate and Mt. Mayon just completes the picture which seems to be perfect for picture taking.
The learning- Adjustment, Patience, Negotiation, Resourcefulness (mainly to kill the boredom). Manage all that and you might just survive. LoL!

Jaja and I hosted the solidarity afternoon
last night with our foster family. Yay! play time.
The Oblong Pasalubong Center is the traveler's  shopping destination. It is located at the grand central station of Legazpi.. It is the best place to buy souvenir shirts, native products and Bicol specialty for "pasalubong" or to take home, Bicolano's hand woven crafts, unique home decors, slippers, bags and other items made of abaca fiber wood and leathers are all world class and most importantly cheaper price goods
Goodbye Legazpi.

Immersion is a comprehensive curriculum offered us a unique and profound experience  through home stays, educational excursions, village visits, adventure trekkings, and more.

Kasama ng maraming litrato ang maraming kwento. Nguni't, datapuwa't, pero, subali't, dangan

My camera allow me to take a nearly infinite number of pictures for nearly no cost.  btw I have too many pictures to keep track of..
I would never recommend to someone with a digital camera, to start taking fewer pictures.
