UST Paskuhan 2011

This December 18 event was dubbed "PASKUHAN 2011:PAGSALUBONG SA IKALIMANG SIGLO"
It’s that time of the year again. My last Paskuhan as a student.
Sadly, the fireworks display only lasted about 5 minutes and it is  not as spectacular as last year’s . Well, this was a disappointment. So bitin.  Popular youth bands such as Sandwich, Urbandub, Paraluman, Rico Blanco, 6 Cyclemind,  and EbeDancel entertained thousands of UST students, faculty, alumni, and outsiders (sorry for the term).
The perfect way to end this year’s school day.
This marks the beginning of Christmas break for us, Thomasians.
I’ll be sure to go back every year to witness this cherished event.

Gearing up for Christmas

With a mere 5 days before Christmas. Yezz Yezz Christmas is fast approaching.  I know I haven’t been updating as much these days but rest assured I’ve got a lot in store for my blog  I just haven’t found the time to organize everything.

PTSA at Beato Angelico

Christmas shopping at Greenhills and SM San Lazaro
I am what we call a last-minute shopper.  I leave my shopping for the last 11 days before Christmas. I settled a few gifts for friends.  I could say that my shopping list is now (almost) complete.

Exchange gifts with dormmates what a night!
Laughing til my side hurts. With excellent entertainment.

SCHOOL DAY
Learn to Create and be Creative
We’re so busy planning out our lives that we can forget to live our lives. All to often we lose the spirit of creative freedom. Is it because we are afraid of being creative?

Attended the traditional Paskuhan Mass with Imas and Dondie  at the UST Grandstand. After the mass Gloc-9, Kamikazee and Parokya ni Edgar draws students in Plaza Mayor. \m/ |>_<| \m/

11.11.11 Friday night, in the city.

Last November 6,  I was online on Facebook, pretty much doing what half of the 750 million active users are doing… One friend sent me a message on Facebook then I clicked the link and made my reservation. Whooosh! I got all excited. Banchetto-Megatent will have a Wish Lantern activity on Nov. 11, 2011. Plus, 11.11.11 is one of those rare moments you should not miss because it would happen only once in your whole lifetime. The event goes viral. I am desperate to see sky lanterns! It was in Chinese belief that if they fly a lantern, then their hope will be closer to the sky, and then the hope will be more likely to come true. Thinking it's time for me to fly one. It turned out the other way around. It's all over Facebook.

 EXPECTATION
REALITY
Last-minute cancellation. Tang*na this! The lantern event in Banchetto was cancelled. Curse you stupid organizers. It's a shame.

We still enjoyed the night with or without the lantern rather than flipping out, all of us sat down for a hearty meal anyway  as if nothing had happened at all. For starters, we had corn dogs.  By the way, if you haven’t tried Banchetto it is a weekly overnight food fiesta starts from 8pm until 7am. Filled with food stalls  offers a wide variety of food such as, finger foods, salads, street foods, desserts, rice dishes, entrees, baked goods, home specialty, wraps, pastas, fruits and veggies.  Definitely you’ll never run out of choices.

While Metrowalk and Banchetto-Megatent were  the main attractions, we went to Eastwood one of the coolest spots in Metro and where nights never die young.  The environment is very westernized, upscale and upbeat (call center-infested chos!). If your on budget, you can just sit around and watch people passing by.
