Chinese Lunar New Year

Me and my dad are mostly mistaken as Chinese. We're no Chinese pero nakicelebrate kami ng New Year nila. February 10 marks and a day of celebrations to herald the beginning of the Year of the Snake. Also, it marks the first time we joined the activity-filled celebration in Binondo.

My family and I had lunch at Ying Ying, our favorite Chinese restaurant in Binondo. The streets are alive with Dragon dances and street performers.  Restaurants and establishments are all packed with people. I’ve been here several times, but never like this.

And then spend the rest of the day in Resorts World
Dinner at Cafe Maxims
This is the sort of place you go to be pampered by waiters who are proud of the fine food they are presenting. The menu is small but expertly prepared.

cookies, anyone??

My friend is selling cookies as a side job.
She sent me samples and pictures.
Oh good heavens, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted. Plus, the packaging is just too cute. Hopefully that gives you enough encouragement to try it yourself.

The Bow and Arrow

For my yearly bucket list- a set of things I'd like to do/accomplish in my life. I've always had a list of various sports that I have wanted to do like fencing, target shooting, scuba diving, wingsuit flying, archery, just to name a few.
So, we visited Gandiva Archery Range on Sunday. Waited for 30 minutes (but we didn't mind) since this is not a large place.
My instructor was very attentive and helpful. The first few attempts, my shots are not going where they’re supposed to go haha!! It's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Pero in fainess naman I was able to consistently hit a target with as little as an hour of practice. Once you shoot a few times it gets more comfortable and easier. On a side note, you can only shoot 3 arrows. Then you have to wait for everyone else to finish.

Are you worried that it will be too expensive? Maybe you think that it will be hard to learn? Don't fret, you can get started in archery for fairly little money. So if you need anything for archery or want to go practice your shooting skills..this is the place!

not bad for a beginner, right?
