at the speed of creativity

my current state

I keep my creative juices flowing by checking out art blogs. About a month ago I came across Katie Sokoler's site. She is an Brooklyn-based street artist, photographer, and actress. There is a lot of creativity exhibited there. Full of new and interesting ideas on how to do things in new ways. Yesterday, I re-read all her posts. All of a sudden I became incredibly insecure. I hastily gathered all the things I could use for my own art work.

Ta-daa! These are my Art tools

Creativity suggests actual creation of something, not just imagination.
I will post my own work here
so watch out for that!

On the other hand, I've painstakingly put together the following list of sites for Art inspiration, so you never need to go elsewhere or waste hours of your precious time scouring through the search engines.
  1. WeeWillDoodle
  2. Pikaland
  3. Doodlers anonymous
  4. the black apple
  5. Creative Something
  6. Art journaling
  7. Creative kismet
  8. Drawn
  9. Teesha's circus
  10. Masterfile

The Who?

The first blind item today is about this beautiful hot young woman that has A-list status and currently on a world tour. "She's dating two men simultaneously," said a source. She's dating this mouth-watering Serbian basketball player, many did not know that she was also dating a global socialite, philanthropist, and second in line to become the Sovereign Prince.
This woman certainly knows how to have it all!  Can you guess who she is?

Hint

You got it! Let’s go!

unwind after office hours

It's Friday night and mom took us to the nearest resort to our house. Warmed up a bit and jumped into the cool water. Swam from 8:30 to 11:30 pm. I see a lot more night swimming in my future.

PS Oh! I changed my header image again inspired by Katie Sokoler. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this header. That's exactly how I wanted it to be. What do you think of my new blog header? I love to hear from you!
Also, I suggest you visit these sites Siteinspire.combloomwebdesign.netstandoutblogger.com and shabbyblogs.com  for web design inspiration and ideas.

A Blogger's Tale

To tell you the truth, when I was 14, I had somewhat of a blog. My interest in blogging resurfaced when I saw my friend's blog entries in Multiply and out of a quietly eager sense of curiosity. Knowing absolutely nothing about blogs and personal websites (or blogging), I set one up in Livejournal and entered my first "post" late that night and, if you ever found it, I would probably die out of embarrassment. Oh the things we say when we are so young and so very stupid. It can be quite overwhelming to get started.
Why do I have a blog? Well there are several answers to that question. But the main reasons are:
1. Great writing practice.
2. It gratifies the "collector" part of my personality.
3.  I've been reading several blogs for years. And while reading a blog doesn't make me a blogger. It did make we want to give it a shot.
4. There are a lot of things I want to write down. Some so I won't forget them, some so my friends won't forget them, and some just because.
5. It's a creative outlet
6. Documenting my life (past, present and future)
7. On the less serious side of things, well, blogging's fun.

I don’t claim to be an expert , but this blog is still spinning after five years and not easing anytime soon. However, I believe my little home here offers an honest charm to it without material motives that you can relate to; your life differs from mine in many ways, but this blog covers enough to link and overlap the two as well. Living a normal life without living a boring life.

For me, jotting down facts and ideas as well as reading other people's blogs has always been an addiction. I had a series of sites that I checked daily. It has not only helped me to improve my own blog, but most importantly, to broaden my horizons by learning about other people or simply adding to my knowledge of things.
Here are a few of my favorite Pinay celebrity blogs, the ones I regularly check and read.

I've been reading this blog since I was in 3rd year high school. From the very first moment I started reading her blog, I was hooked. Patty has a unique way to master words and attract her readers' interest.  Also, a valuable source of information.

Daphne, it's always one of my most favorite places to visit in the blogosphere. Impossible to get bored when reading her blog entries.

Although I do not consider myself a fashion blogger, I sure am obsessed with fashion.
If you live and breathe fashion, these two stylista should be familiar to you. Simply brilliant! I love seeing the outfits they put together. Camille has to come from money because her clothes are just what a girl could only dream of. Plus, she is polished and poised.

Between her cool photographs and beautiful illustrations, this lady has got it going on.

I discovered her blog a long time ago and fell hard. Yeah! Matagal na kong Saabscriber ( during her wordpress and multiply days pa). She writes in an easy-going manner.

Her inspirational posts are like a haven of peace where I can sit back and enjoy her great content.

And the bottom line is Content is king!

Untangled thoughts

Yesterday, the nation commemorated 114th Philippine Independence Day. So technically, no classes, offices closed. I went back to UST and I am in super harking back college  mode. Then, I went back to Leo's. My ex-dorm mates asked me to meet up with them. In college, I was a dormer My room was really nice located at Alfredo street. What’s really nice about this dorm was the proximity to the campus. You know, as I am always told, my dorm days were one of the best experiences I’ll forever cherish. I met a lot of nice friends there.
When I first entered the lobby of the dorm, it kind of struck me. Struck me with a sense that it brought back all the good memories I've had in the dormitory.  Our bonding time was spent in the lobby playing cards, internet surfing, yosi break (exclude me from this), endless story sharing, late-night snacking, goofing around and having dinner. I felt happy seeing them again after a long time. It was kind of a reality check that I won’t be a college student anymore. I won’t forget the joys of my days as a college student. It’s been the best four years of my life. It really does fly by. I know that’s so cliche but you just have to enjoy every moment. It was really an interesting day... A day full of good memories from the past.

A despedida party

Last night was the bomb yo! It's been a long and tiring day at work. But the party is still on, my friend.

We went to Jay's house in Mandaluyong where her despedida/See you soon party took over. Jay, my college classmate  is off to charted territory, in U.S. soil. She will be gone for a few years. Cris and I arrived about 15 minutes after 8 pm and more folks started to arrived.  Over 14 people showed up. We stuffed ourselves with food and drinks. It was one of the funnest times I've had with The Girls. All the best for you Jay! Adieu!

I'm so jealous! I want to live abroad. Be a Professional mover and a happy traveler.
